In collaboration with Australian and overseas partners, we can assess the environmental impacts of your supply chain. Our solution includes:
- A carbon footprint of your supply chain operations, including emissions from specific transport routes and modes, tonnage, utilization rates, backhauling/reverse logistics, manufacturing, distribution centres and other storage locations.
- In cold storage points, we can provide environmental monitoring to assess the energy use, temperature control, coefficient of performance (COP) and other performance parameters associated to refrigeration systems.
- Establishment of key performance indicators, such as:
- Energy used to operate the supply chain (including all sources)
- Greenhouse gas emissions generated by the supply chain
- Freight transport distances and their contribution to "Food Miles" emissions
- Environmental impact of waste from packaging materials and food spoilage
- Costs of operating the supply chain
- Quantification of an environmental performance baseline
- Estimation of the effect of hypothetical future scenarios under new supply chain strategies on the performance of the chain.
These five steps are typically aided by software that performs Life-Cycle Analysis calculations and supply chain network modelling.
We can also contribute to developing product carbon footprints with measured, realistic supply chain information.
