Silvia Estrada-Flores is Principal Consultant and founder of Food Chain Intelligence. She holds a PhD from Massey University (New Zealand) and a Graduate Certificate in Food Business Management from Monash University (Australia).
With a background in food engineering and R&D, Silvia has now over 16 years of experience in innovation and management of cold chain projects. She has worked in areas such as:
- Food safety and quality.
- Perishables distribution.
- Performance evaluation of refrigerated transport equipment and cold stores.
- Technology roadmaps for domestic refrigerator manufacturers.
- Supply chain analyses for bioactive compounds and horticultural products.
Silvia is an author of 33 articles published in scientific journals, conference proceedings and trade magazines. She has also produced 32 confidential reports for a variety of public and private companies. Silvia has authored two book chapters and has been a speaker in more than 20 industry forums.
Recently, Silvia was awarded the 2008 Logistics Development Award, awarded by the Logistics Association of Australia and sponsored by CHEP Asia Pacific.
